Posted: 25 May 2012 10:28 AM PDT
Na. M. M. Mwanakijiji

Sasa Watanzania hawa wameamua kukataa kuonewa tena!

2. Tumenyonywa
Sasa mojawapo ya mambo ambayo Azimio la Arusha lilipambana nalo ni kile Mwalimu alikiita “exploitation of man by man’.

Sasa Watanzania hawataki kuendelea kupuuzwa. Habari zilizoripotiwa kuhusu Wassira hivi karibuni kwenye jimbo lake kunatudokeza.

Kumbe Watanzania wanapokataa haya mengine kimsingi wanakubali jambo linalowezekana.

Pep Guardiola waiting for club to "seduce" him

Pep Guardiola waves to the Barcelona fans

Departing Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola says he will be ready to return to management in the future for a club that "seduces" him.
The 41-year-old, who is quitting Barca to spend time away from the game, takes charge of his final match on Friday.

"I will receive all calls with pleasure, but for the next [few] months I have to recharge my batteries and my mind," said Guardiola.
"I will be ready [to return] if one club wants me and seduces me."

Guardiola announced that he would be stepping down from his role at the Nou Camp at the end of April, bringing an end to a hugely successful four-years.
The former midfielder is the most successful coach in Barcelona history, with three league titles, two Champions Leagues and a Copa del Rey among his 13-trophy haul.

He has a chance to end his reign in style on Friday by beating Athletic Bilbao in the Copa del Rey final at the Vicente Calderon Stadium.
A win will also neatly book-end his time with the club as a 4-1 cup victory over Athletic three years ago gave him his first trophy.

It also gives Barca a chance to provide a positive end to a disappointing season, which has seen them relinquish both their La Liga and Champions League trophies, with Real Madrid winning the former and Chelsea eliminating them in the semi-final of the latter.

"I've got the feeling we are very well prepared for this final," added Guardiola. "A final is always there to be won."

Guardiola's Barca side have not only been lauded for their success but also their style of play, with midfield duo Andreas Iniesta and Xavi and forward Lionel Messi rising to prominence under his management.

He was particularly close to Messi - describing him as "the best ever" player -while the Argentine suggested Guardiola was  the main factor behind Barca's recent success.

Guardiola played for the Catalan club during the 1990s and early 2000s. He became Barca B coach in 2007 before taking control of the first team in 2008.
He will be succeeded at the Nou Camp by his assistant, Tito Vilanova.

Managerless European clubs

  • Chelsea: Caretaker Roberto di Matteo put himself in serious contention for the Blues job by winning the Champions League, but owner Roman Abramovich has yet to decide on a permanent successor to Andre Villas-Boas.
  • Liverpool: The Reds owners are spreading the net wide in search for a replacement for Kenny Dalglish. Wigan boss Roberto Martinez is at least one manager to have spoken to the Anfield club.
  • AS Roma: The Italian club have been without a boss since Luis Enrique quit less than a year into his reign. Guardiola briefly played for them in the 2002-03 season.

Andy Carroll and Rob Green to start for England against Norway

Liverpool striker Andy Carroll and West Ham goalkeeper Rob Green will start for England in Saturday's Euro 2012 warm-up match against Norway in Oslo.
Manager Roy Hodgson said: "Andy ended the season well and has continued in the same vein with us, and that was after a difficult start at Liverpool.
"I know what I am going to do but I haven't told the players yet. The back four takes care of itself.

"Rob Green will be in goal and Steven (Gerrard) will start as captain."
Liverpool midfielder Gerrard said: "I want to be remembered as a successful captain. It's something you dream of when you're a boy."
He added reports of splits in the camp, relating to John Terry's pending court case, were "false".

Terry, who will stand trial on 9 July, denies racially abusing QPR defender Anton Ferdinand during a Premier League match last October.

Euro 2012: Steven Gerrard wants 'successful' captaincy

Gerrard said: "We're united, we're together. We're all after the same thing and that's to win. There are no divides.
"John (Terry) is a fantastic player and having him about is going to help me in my role along with Frank Lampard and (coach) Gary Neville.
"I haven't seen John or spoken to him. He's obviously celebrating (the Champions League win). He's always been fantastic with me. We need to support each other. We're after the same thing."

Gerrard said he had not spoken to either Theo Walcott or Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain about their families' decision not to travel to the tournament over racism fears.

But he added: "I hope all countries have moved on from that, it's certainly something that Uefa needs to address, maybe before the tournament starts.
"I'm hoping like everyone else that racism doesn't play a part in this tournament. I hope it's about the football, not the racism."

Hodgson will be taking charge of England for the first time and said: "It will be a very proud moment. I am looking to see what these players can do. I am very much at a learning stage.
"It is a very important step along the way. My plan is to try to get as many players in action as I can in the two warm-up games."

Sepp Blatter wants penalty shoot-out alternative

Sepp Blatter wants penalty shoot-out alternative

Fifa president Sepp Blatter has asked Bayern Munich honorary president Franz Beckenbauer to come up with an alternative to the "tragedy" of penalty shoot-outs.
Beckenbauer is head of the Football Task Force 2014, a group designed to recommend rule changes.
"Football can be a tragedy when you go to penalty kicks," Blatter said.
"Football should not go to one to one. When it goes to penalty kicks football loses its essence."
He added: "Perhaps Franz Beckenbauer with his football 2014 group can show us a solution, perhaps not today but in the future."
The Champions League final was decided on penalties this season, with Chelsea winning after Bayern Munich dominated the game. It was the 10th time that the European Cup final has gone to a shoot-out.

What was there before penalty shoot-outs?

Before shoot-outs were introduced in 1970, drawn games went to either a replay, lots were drawn or they were decided by a coin toss - in the 1968 European Championship semi-final, Italy beat Soviet Union on a coin toss
Zambia also won a major cup in a penalty shoot-out this season, beating Ivory Coast for the Africa Cup of Nations.

The World Cup final has twice been decided on penalties, with Brazil beating Italy in 1994 and Italy seeing off France in 2006.
Blatter referred to the "tragedy" of shoot-outs after Italy's win, although four years later he suggested having all draws in World Cup group games ending with penalties.

The Swiss was speaking to delegates at the Fifa congress on Friday.
Fifa has revealed the decision on the introduction of goal-line technology will take place in Zurich on 5 July rather than in Kiev three days earlier, the day after the Euro 2012 final.

Hawk-Eye,  a camera-based system, will be used by independent testers during England's friendly against Belgium on 2 June, although match officials will have no access to data and the trial will have no impact on any contentious goal-line decisions.
Theo Zwanziger, who is in charge of revising Fifa's statues, says that the rule which guarantees the four UK football associations their own Fifa vice-president is outdated. A ruling will be made on it at next year's congress.

"Football has moved on and it is our duty and obligation to decide if the privileges are still justified in our time and age," the German said.
Zwanziger also believes the composition of the International FA Board should be changed. Currently, the UK associations have one vote each and Fifa have four.
Fifa will allocate £48m for insuring players on international duty. The insurance will cover a player's salary from the second to 12th month up to a maximum of £6.2m.

Mark Pieth, chairman of Fifa's independent governance committee, wants to see a number of changes including limited terms of office and age limits on Fifa members and has recommended Fifa set up a public hotline to report corruption allegations

LIVERPOOL SACK DALGLISH

KENNY DALGLISH has been sacked by Liverpool after just 16 months in charge.

The Scot’s contract was terminated after he flew to the United States to present his end-of-season review to principal owner John Henry and Tom Werner.
Despite Dalglish leading the Reds to Carling Cup glory and to the FA Cup final where they lost to Chelsea, it was their dismal Premier League form which ultimately led to his downfall.
An eighth-place finish was way below what is expected from a club that needs Champions League football to compete financially with Europe’s big guns.
Liverpool ended the season with 52 points — their lowest ever total in the Premier League — and finished below Merseyside rivals Everton.
The Anfield side also recorded their fewest number of wins in a top-flight season — 14 — since 1953-54 and scored their fewest top flight goals in a season — 47 — since 1991-92.
Henry and Werner were also not happy with the way Dalglish handled the Luis Suarez affair or his surly appearances in front of the media.
Dalglish said: “It has been an honour and a privilege to have had the chance to come back to Liverpool Football Club as manager.
“I greatly appreciate the work that Steve, Kevin, the players and all of the staff put in during my time and feel proud that we delivered the club’s first trophy in six years winning the Carling Cup and came close to a second trophy in the FA Cup final.
“Of course I am disappointed with results in the league, but I would not have swapped the Carling Cup win for anything as I know how much it meant to our fans and the club to be back winning trophies.
“Whilst I am obviously disappointed to be leaving the football club, I can say that the matter has been handled by the owners and all concerned in an honourable, respectful and dignified way and reflects on the quality of the people involved and their continued desire to move the football club forward in the same way as when they arrived here.
“I would like to thank all of the staff at the club for their effort and loyalty.
“I said when first approached about coming back as manager that I would always be of help if I can at any time and that offer remains the same.
“Finally, I want to put on record my heartfelt gratitude to Liverpool’s fans, who have always given me and the club their unwavering support.
“Without them neither the club nor I would have achieved anything.”
SunSport understands Dalglish was not prepared to accept an upstairs role at Anfield, forcing the owners hands and leading to his exit.
Dalglish took over from current England boss Roy Hodgson in January 2011 and the Reds confirmed their search for his successor is already underway.
Henry said: “Kenny will always be more than a championship winning manager, more than a championship winning star player.
“He is in many ways the heart and soul of the club. He personifies everything that is good about Liverpool Football Club.
“He has always put the club and its supporters first. Kenny will always be a part of the family at Anfield.
“Our job now is to identify and recruit the right person to take this club forward and build on the strong foundations put in place during the last 18 months.”
Werner added: “Kenny came into the club as manager at our request at a time when Liverpool Football Club really needed him.
“He didn’t ask to be manager — he was asked to assume the role. He did so because he knew the club needed him.
“He did more than anyone else to stabilise Liverpool over the past year-and-a-half and to get us once again looking forward. We owe him a great debt of gratitude.
“However, results in the Premier League have been disappointing and we believe to build on the progress that has already been made, we need to make a change.
“We are committed to delivering success for our supporters and our ambition remains resolute to return this great club to the elite of England and Europe, where it belongs.”
Kenny Dalglish’s departure brings to an end his second spell at the club where, as a player, he won numerous honours, including six English league titles and three European Cup trophies.
As manager he won three league titles, two FA Cups and this season’s Carling Cup.

ENGLAND EURO 2012 SQUAD

ALEX OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN is the shock name in Roy Hodgson’s England squad for Euro 2012.

The uncapped Arsenal youngster is joined on the 23-man list by Norwich keeper John Ruddy, Liverpool pair Andy Carroll and Stewart Downing as well as Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe.
Oxlade-Chamberlain, 18, has made 26 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners this term.
Boss Arsene Wenger has been reluctant to throw him in at the deep end during his first Premier League season, often using him as an impact sub.
He signed for Arsenal from Southampton in a £15million deal last summer and has become an instant hit with Gunners fans.
Oxlade-Chamberlain said: “I’m obviously delighted, to be picked for your country at any stage is a massive honour and to be at a huge tournament likes the Euros is such a bonus.
“I am just looking forward to going there, learning from all the experienced players, training with them and trying my hand at everything. I am absolutely buzzing.
“I got a call on Wednesday morning from the manager and he just explained it to me then — that was about two hours before it was announced.
“He said it was down to merit and I just have to prove him right.
“I think I play with no fear, I run at players regardless of who they are and try to make a difference.
“I have a youthful enthusiasm and I am so excited about this that I will try and take any opportunity with both hands.
“I will just try and make things happen, although I know there are other players who can do that. It will just be nice to get the opportunity and I will see what I can do.”
He added: “I would have probably laughed if someone had told me I would be in the Euro 2012 a year ago.
“Obviously you would like to think that and it is what you aim towards but sometimes you have to be realistic and realise it might take a little bit longer than that.
“So for everything to happen as quickly as it has, it has been surreal and I don’t think it has really sunk in properly yet.
“I know I haven’t made it and I have a long way to go but this is the first step in what I hope to be a long and successful international career.
“It is a good opportunity for me to go and learn from everyone and if I do get a chance, work as hard as I can to make an impression and prove myself.”
Oxlade-Chamberlain’s inclusion in the England squad for the first time comes as a surprise with some of the old guard also missing out.
A number of high-profile players, including Rio Ferdinand, have been dropped as Hodgson wielded the axe.
Micah Richards, Phil Jagielka, Aaron Lennon and Peter Crouch were also ommitted, while Chelsea’s Daniel Sturridge missed the cut.
Tottenham defender Kyle Walker will also be absent from the tournament after suffering a toe injury in Spurs’ final match of the season against Fulham last Sunday.
There is a place though for ex-captain John Terry despite him being accused of racially abusing Ferdinand’s brother Anton — a charge he denies.
Steven Gerrard and Scott Parker are expected to battle it out for the captaincy in Poland and Ukraine.
Parker was named captain for England’s friendly defeat to Holland in February, when Under-21s boss Stuart Pearce was in temporary charge.

ENGLAND’S EURO 2012 SQUAD:
KEEPERS: Joe Hart, Robert Green, John Ruddy.
DEFENDERS: Glen Johnson, Phil Jones, John Terry, Joleon Lescott, Gary Cahill, Ashley Cole, Leighton Baines.
MIDFIELDERS: Theo Walcott, Stewart Downing, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Steven Gerrard, Gareth Barry, Frank Lampard, Scott Parker, Ashley Young, James Milner.
STRIKERS: Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck, Andy Carroll, Jermain Defoe.

Cavani has propelled himself to the level of one of European football’s hottest properties

After the success of MoenkuttyFootball’s first ‘summer transfer targets’ piece, it’s clear that thoughts have already turned to the possible dealings for each of the big clubs at the end of the season.

Managers like Sir Alex Ferguson and Kenny Dalglish will already have a shortlist of targets in place, but need to wait until Euro 2012 reaches its conclusion and the window opens on July 1st to be sure about players they want to bring in. Could be moving to the Premier League elite before the start of the 2012/13 season.

Shinji Kagawa
The Borussia Dortmund star has made a major impact in Germany since moving from Cerezo Osaka in 2010, but his relatively short-term contract means he has less than 18 months on his current deal.
Having helped BVB to consecutive titles, Kagawa impressed for Jurgen Klopp’s side in the Champions League this season, taking his Bundesliga form into European competition.
An attacking midfielder with an eye for a pass, press reports in England have claimed that Manchester United are close to signing the player as he stalls on a possible new deal at the Westfalenstadion.
With 13 league goals this term, he also has an eye for goal, and could add a number of extra dimensions to a club’s attacking prowess.

Jackson Martinez
If you believe the reports, 25-year-old Martinez appears destined for Liverpool after impressing for both Jaguares in South America and the Colombian national side.
A striker with serious pace as well as ability in the air, Martinez has an eye for goal and is very much your typical striker, looking to poach wherever possible from inside the 18-yard box.
Competent with both feet, the 13-cap international is surely destined for bigger-and-better things than the Mexican league.

Edinson Cavani
The Uruguayan striker has proved himself at European level after making a massive impact at Napoli, scoring 48 goals in 68 Serie ‘A’ appearances since a 2010 switch from Palermo.
With 11 goals at international level and impressive performances in the Champions League this term, Cavani has propelled himself to the level of one of European football’s hottest properties.
Chelsea and Manchester City are the two Premier League clubs to have been linked with a move, with Cavani offering a physical presence, eye-for-goal and vast amounts ability on the floor.
However, a hefty price tag and Napoli’s unwillingness to sell could be a stumbling block.

Victor Moses
The Wigan sensation has showed his vast potential in the Premier League this season, proving instrumental in the run-of-form that helped the club survive.
Raw pace is perhaps the former Crystal Palace starlet’s strongest attribute, although Moses has shown an eye-for-goal this season and improved his final delivery under Roberto Martinez.
A willing runner, he’s impressed on both the wing and in an attacking midfield role, and was at his best against Arsenal when given a licence to roam behind the striker(s).
£10 million seems like a fair price for a young player with top flight experience, although it’s yet to be seen which club makes the first move.

Milos Krasic
So often linked with a move away from Juventus, the winger looks certain to leave Italy in the transfer window after admitting he’s ready to turn his back on Serie ‘A’.
Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are the two parties currently credited with an interest, understandable given the 27-year-old Serbian’s vast amount of ability.
Krasic has played in Europe with both CSKA Moscow and the Bianconeri, earning 46-caps for his country along the way with a free-flowing style on the right flank.
Good acceleration and speed, coupled with the ability to produce a decent final ball more often than not, makes him a worthwhile proposition for both Harry Redknapp and Kenny Dalglish.

Pat Rice to leave post as Arsenal assistant manager

Arsenal assistant manager Pat Rice will leave the club at the end of the season, with Steve Bould confirmed as his replacement.
Rice, 63, has been Arsene Wenger's right-hand man since 1996 and his departure will bring to an end a 48-year association with the club.

I would like Pat to forgive me for the bad moments I've given him as well but he has been a constant loyal supporter
Wenger on Rice
"Pat is a true Arsenal legend and has committed almost his whole life to Arsenal," said Wenger.
Bould steps up from Arsenal's academy, where he has worked since 2001.
Bould impressed Wenger by leading the club's youngsters to the FA Youth Cup in 2009 and to the Premier Academy League title in 2008 and 2009.
"His qualities are that he has the experience of the top-level game. He has managed here. He knows our football philosophy and therefore there will be a continuity," said Wenger.
"We always want to give an advantage to people who know how we work, how we want to coach."
As part of the reshuffle, reserve team coach Neil Banfield will be promoted to join Wenger and Bould in coaching the first team.
Rice's departure will mark the end of an era at Arsenal.

Pat Rice at Arsenal

  • Joined Arsenal youth team in 1964
  • Made more than 500 appearances for the club between 1966 and 1980
  • Became part of Arsenal's coaching staff in 1984
  • As youth-team manager, won the FA Youth Cup in 1988 and 1994
  • Became assistant manager to Arsene Wenger in 1996
He joined the club as a youth-team player in 1964 before turning professional two years later and went on to make more than 500 appearances for the Gunners, captaining the side to FA Cup victory in 1979.
Rice left Arsenal for a four-year spell with Watford in 1980 before returning to the club as a youth-team coach.
Working alongside Wenger, the Northern Irishman has helped guide the club to three Premier League titles and four FA Cups.
"His life was linked with Arsenal. Arsenal was privileged to have him as a player, as a captain, as a coach and personally I'm very grateful for his contribution to my period here," said Wenger.
"I would like him to forgive me for the bad moments I've given him as well but he has been a constant loyal supporter and I'm just very grateful and privileged to have him at my side for such a long time."

POLICE TO QUESTION MANCHESTER UNITED OVER BEBE

Police to question Manchester United over £7.4m Bebe deal

Police in Portugal are planning to question Manchester United as part of their investigations into the controversial transfer of Bebe.
The Premier League club signed the Portugal Under-21 forward from Vitoria Guimaraes for £7.4m in August 2010.
An anti-corruption unit is examining the transfer to establish how £3m of the fee was purportedly paid to Jorge Mendes's Gestifute agency.
United say they will cooperate with any police investigation.

Bebe at Old Trafford

Bebe made seven appearances during his first season at Manchester United, with just two of those coming in the Premier League - both from the bench
The review of the Bebe deal is part of a wider police probe into the finances of Guimaraes, who announced profits of £16.5m last year.
United have not been contacted by investigators at this stage and a spokesman stressed that "nobody is suggesting that we have done anything wrong".
Last month, Portuguese police interviewed the player's former agent Goncalo Reis.
Reis was sacked as Bebe's agent six days before United signed a player Sir Alex Ferguson later admitted he had never seen play.
Although police do not suspect Reis of any wrongdoing, he was asked to attend a police station in Lisbon last month to discuss how he came to be replaced by Mendes's agency and his relationship with Bebe.
The police - who are understood to possess copies of documents relating to the transfer - are said to have scheduled a series of hearings with witnesses.
Gestifute insist the transfer was done correctly and entirely in accordance with Fifa rules and regulations.
Bebe spent much of his youth living in a homeless shelter after being abandoned by his parents, prompting Ferguson to describe his move to United as a "fairytale".

Did you know?

In 2009 Bebe was a resident at the Casa do Gaiato shelter in Portugal, an organisation that helps homeless people and uses football as a way of getting them off the streets
The 21-year-old has made little impression at United, starting only three matches, before joining Besiktas on a season-long loan last summer.
His spell in Turkey has been equally difficult, however. He tore an anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee while playing for Portugal Under-21 in Slovakia in August and missed seven and a half months of the season.
Before then, he had played only three times for Besiktas and last month he was suspended from first-team training by the Turkish club after breaking a curfew by visiting a nightclub on the eve of a game against Galatasaray.
Tayfur Havutcu, the coach of the Turkish club, confirmed the player had been disciplined for his behaviour and could even be sent back to Old Trafford. The loan agreement with Besiktas has an option for a permanent £2m move.

10 May 2012 Last updated at 15:53 GMT

No Chelsea decision on manager until after Champions League final

Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay insists a decision on Roberto di Matteo's future will not be made until after the Champions League final.
It has been reported that the Chelsea manager fears he has not done enough to earn the job on a full-time basis, even if the Blues become European champions.
The Munich final on 19 May could also be Didier Drogba's last Chelsea game.
But Gourlay claims contract talks are ongoing with star striker Drogba, whose current deal expires this summer.
Di Matteo led Chelsea to victory in Saturday's FA Cup Final against Liverpool before making eight changes for Tuesday night's Premier League rematch at Anfield.
